What We Don't Do
Signs We're Not a Fit
No one can be everything to everyone. Claiming to be the best option for everyone every time is a huge red flag.
Here are some of the most common signs that Innovative isn't the best IT company for you:
- You are a large enterprise. You have C-level IT leadership and a large internal IT team. Things are running well from a strategic and tactical level.
- Your purchasing process requires a competitive bid process for every purchase.
- You are downsizing, scaling back, or preparing to sell your business soon.
- Technology is not essential to the function of your business.
- You know exactly what technology you need and don't need assistance with scoping equipment or projects. Your leadership team and staff agree that your current approach is working.
Services We Don't Provide
Here are the most commonly requested services that we refer to other vendors. You may have come to us for some of these services in the past, but we've discontinued them as business and technology has changed over the past two decades. For example, in the early 2000s, we may have repaired your personal laptop. Today, places like Best Buy are much better equipped to meet your home computer needs.
Residential Work
Home computers have gotten more straightforward in recent years and rarely require high-end technical expertise. Our technicians focus exclusively on business and commercial-grade technology. We do not provide residential IT support.
Provide Support Without Managed Services
We do our best work when we can proactively monitor and manage your network. We no longer offer on-demand, break/fix IT work and provide only managed IT services contracts.
One-Off Projects
When a managed services client needs new equipment installed or replaced we have the historical information necessary to accurately scope the project. We do not quote projects for businesses that are not managed IT clients.
Sell Hardware without Managed Services
Our hardware pricing model includes the installation and maintenance of the equipment. We cannot compete with big-box retailer prices, and can't add value if we're not installing and managing the equipment.
Phone Systems and Copiers Without IT Support
We are an IT company first. You get the best value when we have the opportunity to advise on not just your phone system or copiers, but on how they integrate with your entire network.
Staffing
We do not offer IT staff recruitment or temporary employees. We will schedule a tech to report to your location for regular, on-site tech support days or half-days if you have a larger volume of on-site support needs.
Strategy-Driven IT
The bottom line is that there are plenty of people and companies extremely qualified and capable of fixing your computers. We certainly have no shortage of people at Innovative who know their way around a motherboard. What gets us out of bed everyday is sharing our passion for technology. Technology is a tool through which people work. The right technology allows them to do their best work in the shortest amount of time. Ultimately, that results in positive growth for your business.
It's only through a strategic approach to IT that we can align technology with your business. Only with technology and business in perfect alignment are you able to fully harness the power of technology to drive your business forward.
